Do you remember the childhood excitement you felt when you opened that much desired gift under the Christmas tree? I opened my very first camera, a Kodak Brownie, one Christmas morning and that’s how this all began for me. Now I watch for moments like these to set my camera in motion.

Think back to when you were in high school. Can you recall the day you were picked to be on the team, achieved the honor roll or won the competition? I was on cloud nine when I was picked to be the yearbook staff photographer. My very first published photographs were forever archived. I still feel like I am on cloud nine when I photograph a sunset.

Did you ask a lot of questions while in school? I did, when I attended Penn State (for business administration) and Albright College (for photography). I still apply this fundamental skill with all of my clients to meet their multi-faceted goals.

Did life every present a situation to you where you needed to summon an extra ounce or two of courage? In 1981, my wife Harriet and I were blessed with twin sons, Peter and Brian. Our daughter Christina arrived five years later. I embraced the challenge of beginning a photography business in 1982 and have enjoyed the excitement for thirty years. I am thrilled when I capture a night time city skyline or a covered bridge for that picture-perfect postcard image.

Speaking of postcards, here’s how I developed my postcard niche:  I got the idea while photographing a magnificent sunset at Peggy’s Cove, Nova Scotia. I was so touched that day that I had to buy someone else’s work, a postcard, and mail it back home. That’s when the light bulb went on.

I have had the honor to be official Photographer for the National Association of Postmasters of the United States from 2003 through December of 2011 and I continue to serve as state photographer for the Pennsylvania Chapter. I have traveled from the halls of Congress, the Senate and the Capitol in Washington to the California coast photographing the Postmaster General and other officials.

I have traveled to the peaks of Colorado and filmed the eagles soaring in Alaska. I’ve ridden the turquoise trail in New Mexico and photographed the Navajo Code Talkers. I have tread the same sod that Gen. Robert E. Lee and Gen. George Meade did in Gettysburg. I have captured the magnificent rainforest and ancient forts of Puerto Rico on my compact flash card.

Enter into my thirty years of experience as a commercial photographer in local-view and client postcards. Together we will accomplish your goals.
